LO2 Pre-Production Contingency Plan completed document.

Contingency Plan
Red= Partner, Lewis' Work
Name: Callum Snook
Title of project: Live, Die, Repeat
Potential problem
Troubleshooting methods
Pre Production
Network going down in college.
The network on the mac’s at college, in which we work our pre production on, can sometimes cripple under the amount of students working on them and as such we cannot finish our work due to this.
People in our group not coming into college and or being kicked out.
If a person in our group decides not to come into college and doesn’t commit to completing the work that had been shared between us, we should take under consideration whether they should still be in our group and we should take responsibility for the work they have not completed.
Loosing pre production work
We will make sure to back up the work and make sure we save it before logging out of the macs. If we are to lose the work we will have to either recover it or re do the work.
Not being able to find actors
We will attempt to find actors and if we fail at doing this we will have to resort to using friends in our short film. We have some friends on stand by just in case we can not sort the actors out.
Production
Actors not showing up.
If one of the actors doesn’t show up we will call them and check why they are not here. We will try to get them to come in and even if they cannot we will film with the other actors and rearrange the date of filming so they are available.
Camera being broken/not working.
We will be extra careful with the equipment to ensure we do not break it. In the event of a piece of equipment breaking we will attempt to fix the problem and failing that we will have to return the equipment and postpone filming.
Drastic change in weather affecting the continuity of the film.
The majority of our filming will be inside meaning this is a very minor problem for us. However if it does affect us then we will reschedule the filming to a better date. We will make sure that we film as much as we can and preferably the whole exterior scene so this does not happen.
Members of the public walking into shot or disrupting filming.
We will make sure that the public are aware that we are going to be filming in the area. However most of our scenes are interior so we will most probably not run into this problem.

Post Production

All footage is all lost, deleted or misplaced.
Make a lot of back ups and make sure that the files are all being kept in the same folder. Making back ups will also prevent the likelihood of coming across the same problems again and could future proof us against it in other pieces of work that we would undertake.
Video being distorted
Always have back ups and learn to shoot the scenes more effectively. As the former cell had explained, it would be beneficial to make sure that we back up our work to future proof these problems.
Audio has been distorted
Always have back ups and have clear backgrounds when recording audio.
The video and audio are not in sync.
Help fix these problems whilst editing and always remember to take under consideration that the audio and video needs to be synced up.

The lens cap could have been kept on the camera.
Always check that the cap is off when filming.
